Limasawa Island, located in Southern Leyte, is a place of religious and historical significance in the Philippines. It has several small coves and white sand beaches that are ideal for snorkeling and swimming.

If you are from Cebu, ride a ship going to Bato, Leyte. You can buy your ticket from Medallion Shipping Lines. Economy class accommodation is around ₱ 300 while tourist class accommodation is around ₱ 600. Upon arrival, walk to the jeepney terminal near the port and ride a jeep going to Maasin. From Maasin, ride a bus going to Padre Burgos. Then, you need to ride a motorboat to Limasawa Island. It only departs once per day at around 12 PM to 1 PM. The fare is ₱ 50 per head. But you can also rent a pump boat for ₱ 1000 - 1500.

To tour the island, you can rent a motorcycle for ₱ 350 (good for 2). There's also a ₱ 10 environmental fee.

Before heading to Island Lagoon Resort, we dropped by the lighthouse at Limasawa. There's a ₱ 10 gate pass to the lighthouse. Here is the view from where the lighthouse is located:

There's a ₱ 10 gate pass to the lagoon and an entrance fee of ₱ 20. You can actually catch a glimpse of the resort from the lighthouse.







You can try cliff jumping, snokeling, or relaxing in the bamboo raft.

Dakdak Beach Resort

Location: Brgy. Lugsongan, Limasawa, Southern Leyte

The entrance fee to Dakdak beach is ₱ 25. You can either rent a cottage for around ₱ 700 or pitch a tent. Camping fee for small tents is ₱ 100 and ₱ 200 for big tents. There's a grilling area so you can cook your own food.
